Guy Curtis Moore, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, passed away on September 17, 2026.
Guy was born to the late Paul Moore and Mildred Morris Moore. He proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard from 1965 until 1971.
Guy will be remembered as a happy and cheerful man who found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed bird watching and had a special talent for creating ceramic figurines. His family also fondly remembers his love of eating and how much he enjoyed a good meal. His creativity, cheerful personality, and the happiness he carried with him are memories his family will continue to cherish.
Guy is survived by his son, Steven Moore and wife, Kristy, of Waynesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Erica Pigg and Nathan Moore; and multiple great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Moore Coln and husband, Bobby, of Savannah, Tennessee; Patricia Moore Plunk and husband, Johnny, of Michie, Tennessee; and Richard Moore and wife, Barbara, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Tony Moore of Jackson, MS.
In addition to his parents, Paul Moore and Mildred Morris Moore, Guy was preceded in death by his sisters, Paulette Moore and Marilyn Moore Gipson.
A graveside service honoring Guy’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ralph Cole Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Guy’s cheerful spirit, creativity, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be remembered by his family and all who knew him.
