Gwen Norris

Gwen Norris was born January 26, 1943 in Ramer, TN the daughter of the late John Paul and Lora Pearl Kirk Blakely.

She was united in marriage to George Elbert Norris on February 15, 1963. Mr. Norris preceded her in death on May 3, 2007.

Gwen was a wonderful caretaker for her husband and mother. She and her family attended Ramer Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Norris departed this life on January 24, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 11 Months, 29 Days. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Norris and wife Tammy of Weatherford, TX and Johnny Norris and wife Layne of Selmer, TN; six grandchildren: Kelly Norris, Emily Perkins, Stephanie Norris, Courtney Norris, Samantha Norris, and Camilla Norris; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Blakely and wife Linda of Ramer, TN and Darrel Blakely and wife Kathy of Bartlett, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Greg Blakely.
