Harold James Brown

March 21, 1940 — June 22, 2016

Harold James Brown was born March 21, 1940 in Greer, SC, the son of the late James Claude and Alma Mae Chandler Brown. He was united in marriage to Brenda Kay Beavers on February 20, 1979. Harold served our country in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the oil fields for a long time until retiring as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, watching western movies and loved his family.

Mr. Brown departed this life on June 22, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 3 Months, 1 Day.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Beavers Brown; his children: Pamela Riley and husband Stacey, James C. Brown and wife Stacy, Mary E. Byrd and husband Zach all of Selmer, TN; two stepchildren, Denise Truett Allen and Kenny Truett of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Dylan and Malea Riley; three sisters: Margaret Brown, Mary Alice Pearl and husband Richard, and Claudette Reese and husband Gerald all of S.C.; three brothers: Fred Brown and wife Susan, and Gerald Brown and wife Effie, Joe Brown all of S.C.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Renee Brown and Laurie Lynn Brown; and a sister, Hattie Mae Roddy.
