Harold Dale Harrison departed this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 17 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 18, 1930, the son of the late Harrell and Amy Franks Harrison. On December 31, 1967, he was united in marriage to Betty Sue Scott, who preceded him in death on August 13, 2011.
Harold was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from July 14, 1951 until July 11, 1955. He helped to start Insulation Systems, Inc. in 1970 and retired from the company in 1995. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and with his dog, Champ, a constant companion and camping. Harold was a faithful husband and a good grandfather.
He is survived by a son, Steve Bingham and his wife Jennie of Watkinsville, Georgia; a daughter, Kathy Turner and her husband Greg of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brad Bingham, Stephanie Langley, and Harrison Cheatham; great grandchildren, Lauren Bingham, Landen Bingham, Lawson Langley, and Weston Langley; a brother, Joe M. Harrison of Savannah, Tennessee; a niece, Freda Neill of Savannah, Tennessee; and a nephew, Joe Harrison, Jr. of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Jean Parker and a nephew, Trae Harrison.
