Harold Delbert Plunk
Henderson: Harold Delbert Plunk, age 74, died Sunday afternoon at Jackson General Hospital.
Mr. Plunk was born in McNairy County and grew up in Chester County the son of the late Jessie Benjamin Plunk and the late Addie Mildred Horton Plunk Wood. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1956 and married Dorothy McNeill in 1959 and they made their home in Chester County. He worked as a bridge inspector for the Tennessee Department of Transportation at the Jackson office and later the Bethel Springs office. After retirement he enjoyed farming and raising cattle.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy McNeill Plunk and two sons Jeff Plunk and wife Sherry of Bethel Springs and Anthony Plunk on Henderson and a daughter Deanna Pickett of Henderson. He also has 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Imogene Millford.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Rev. Troy Frye officiating and burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning 5:00 PM Tuesday.
