Harry Mitchell

Mr. Harry Mitchell Sr., departed this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 6 Months, 16 Days. He was born September 6, 1936 in Brownsville, TN the son of the late Harry William and Gladys Clark Mitchell.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Deloris Pigg on July 16, 1955, Mrs. Mitchell preceded him in death on October 10, 2014 .

Mr. Mitchell was a retired machinist with Tn Valley Authority . He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.

He is survived by daughter, Debra McElderry and husband Bill of Canton, GA.
sons, Douglas Lynn Mitchell Sr. of Collinwood, TN, Thomas Harry Mitchell Jr. of Waynesboro, TN. grandchildren, Melaine Heath and husband Ron, Doug Mitchell Jr. and wife Jennifer, Brendan McElderry, Thomas Mitchell III, Josh Mitchell and wife Holly, Colby Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Amanda Davis and husband Steven, Evegene Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, Kelsey Mitchell, 14 great grandchildren, brother, James (Chubby) Mitchell and wife Bell of Collinwood, TN. several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jerry Wayne Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens ,Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 6:00-9:00 pm and on Saturday, March 25, 10:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN.
