Mrs. Sisco passed away Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2014, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
A native of the Jackson's Bend area of Hardeman County, she was a life-long resident here. She was the daughter of the late Wines and Ruby Jean Hammons Jackson. In July of 1947, she married Mr. Clarence Sisco and he passed away August 8, 1996. Mrs. Sisco had worked in the kitchen at Brint's Nursing Home and was a poll worker at the Hebron precinct during Hardeman County elections. She was a member of the New Bethany Church of Christ.
Survivors are: 5 daughters, Joellen (Bobby) Crum of Knoxville, Jenece (Bobby) Crowley, Linda (Buster) Howell and Barbara (David) Smalley, all of Middleton, and Edith (Pete) Abel of Savannah; 1 son, Glen (Donna) Sisco of Bolivar; 2 sisters, Betty Jo Grantham of Bolivar and Ruby Nell Stewart of Memphis; 15 grandchildren, Gerald, Leeann and Debra Jacobs; Robert and Richard Crowley; Dana Drake, Kimberly Parlmey, Shelly Griggs, Scott Sisco, Bridget Smalley, Tyler Abel, Buddy Howell, Stacey Henson and Chris Abel and Patty Vancroft; 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sisco was preceded in death by her step-mother, Lucy Fawcett Jackson; a son, Jackie Brooks Jacobs; a daughter, Jeanette Sisco; 2 grandchildren, Danny Jackson and Candace McAnally; a great-grandchild, Heather Hawk; and 2 brothers, Lynn and W. D. Jackson.
