Henry Charles "H.C." Isbell was born April 15, 1925 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Erwin and Clara Causey Isbell.
Mr. Isbell served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran.
He was united in marriage to Dolores Milam on April 15, 1945. They have been married for 70 years.
Mr. Isbell was a farmer all of his life and worked at the McNairy County Highway Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed "ballgames" that his children, grandkids and great grandkids participated in. He loved his extended family and friends to the fullest.
Mr. Isbell departed this life on August 22, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 4 Months, 7 Days. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores Isbell of Finger, TN; their four children, Harold Isbell and wife Linda of Bethel Springs, TN, Gary Isbell and wife Judy of Adamsville, TN, Linda Lott and husband Jerry of Selmer, TN, and Rex Isbell and wife Pam of Bethel Springs, TN; 10 grandchildren, Daryl and Brian Isbell, Randy, Steven, and Bobby Isbell, Kristi Lott Davidson, Kevin Lott, Angela Gray, Valessa Weatherford, and Valerie George; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Ted Isbell and wife Joann of Olive Branch, MS; a sister, Rebecca Jarnagan of Jackson, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Isbell was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Isbell; a sister, Mattie Sue Foster; four children, Barbara, Patty, Tommy and Diane Isbell.
