Helen C. Gobbell

Helen C. Gobbell was born May 25, 1923 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Lindsey and Minnie Brewer Clayton. Mrs. Gobbell departed this life Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro at the age of 88 Years, 6 Months, 16 Days. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gobbell was preceded in death by her husband William Wiley Gobbell and a grandson, Eric Gobbell. Mrs. Gobbell was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro and was formerly employed at Genesco.



She is survived by two sons, Autry Gobbell and wife Martha of Clifton, TN, Doug Gobbell and wife Diane of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Sandra Camfield of Waynesboro, TN and her husband the late Ronnie Camfield;

nine grandchildren, Stephen Gobbell, Jason Camfield, Christi Floyd, Kim Bunch, Michael Camfield, Melessia Evers, Kelly Gobbell, Douglas Gobbell, and Derrick Gobbell; 16 great grandchildren; and a special niece, Judy Harper of Cypress Inn, TN



Services will be Monday, December 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro with Lea Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
