Helen Maxine Woodward

April 9, 1931 — May 25, 2017

Helen Maxine Woodward was born April 9, 1931 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Clarence Vivian Woodward and Sally L. Smith Woodward. Maxine was married to William Harl Dickey of Finger, TN. They were married for 26 years prior to divorcing in 1972. Neither party remarried.

Ms. Woodward is survived by three sons, Travis Harl Dickey and wife Kathy of Vancleave, MS, George Allen Dickey and wife Linda of Monticello, KY, Larry Glenn Dickey of Morton, IL; a daughter, Dena Lynn Day and husband Brian of Washington, IL; three grandsons, Matthew Dickey, Sammy Dickey, Jacob Dickey; a host of extended family and friends.

Maxine was a Unit Secretary at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL for 15 years. She relocated to Texas working at Northwest Medical Center. She was also an Assistant Manager at Hickory Hill Apartments in Tomball, TX. She retired in 1993 and moved to Selmer, TN.

She was a born again Christian "Baptist belief". She read her Bible and watched christian television daily. She enjoyed her flowers and always had beautiful plants. Ms. Woodward departed this life on May 25, 2017 in Adamsville, TN at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 16 Days.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by two brothers, Travis Edward Woodward, Clarence Guy Woodward; two sisters, Sue Nell Hays, Barbara Jean Blankenship.
