HENRY JOE BRYANT
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 19, 1937 the son of the late James Garland and Mollie Shelby Bryant.
On September 18, 1959 he was united in marriage to Deanna Gayle Riley, who survives.
Mr. Bryant during his childhood lived in the Swift Community of Savannah and also lived in Waynesboro. Most of his adult life he lived in Franklin, Tennessee. He graduated from Savannah Central High School in 1957 and from High Forrest Academy in 1969 with a degree in Medical Technology. Mr. Bryant was a police officer in Franklin, Tennessee and retired from Nocona Belt Company, where he was a salesman. He was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ and Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, Tennessee. He loved going to the beach, golfing, and watching his UT Vols and SEC football. Mr. Bryant also loved going to Federal Historical Parks, he even had a lifetime pass.
Mr. Bryant departed this life on August 31, 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 12 days.
In addition to his wife, Deanna of 58 years, he is survived by his children, Henry Joe Bryant, II and his wife Jamie of Trinidad and Tobago, Jeffrey Alan Bryant and his wife Amy of Franklin,Tennessee, Angelia Bryant Cormier and her husband Kenneth of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Jason Andrew Bryant of Lyles, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Tabitha Taylor and her husband Kris, Tanner Cormier, and Tyler Bryant; one great grandchild, Sydney Mattern; and one brother, James Altumn Bryant.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by one sister in law, Mary Ann Bryant; brother, J. G. Bryant; sisters, Frankie Bryant Bray and her husband Robert Sr., Dexter Bryant Russell and her husband Jim, and Gladys Bryant Boroughs and her husband Jake.
Services will be held on September 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee, with Tracy Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Church of Christ Cemetery at Savannah, Tennessee.
Pallbearers are Joe Bryant, Jason Bryant, Kenneth Cormier, Tanner Cormier, Jeffery Alan Bryant and Tommy Boroughs.
