Mr. Davis passed away Friday afternoon at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar.
The widower of Alberta Robbins Davis, who died on August 23, 2008, he worked as a self employed truck driver and farmer. He was born in Fayette County to the late William Alexander Davis and Delia Glover Davis and lived all of his life in Fayette County. Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing and hunting and gardening, especially working with his flowers that he grew so well.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Shirley Stokes (Paul) of Hickory Withe; 2 sons and their wives, Murray Davis (Cecelia) of Somerville, Terry Davis (Kathy) of Somerville; 3 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children, a brother, A. W. Davis and a grandson, Cliff Davis.
