Henry Skelton Jr. was born May 16, 1943, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Henry and Thelma Lee Rose Skelton.
Henry worked as a bricklayer, a trade that reflected his ability to work with his hands and take pride in what he built. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and especially enjoyed spending time in the woods and along the water. He also looked forward to picking blackberries and muscadines when they were in season. When he wasn't outdoors, Henry could often be found enjoying a game of pool.
Henry will be remembered by those who knew him for the things he enjoyed, the time he shared with family and friends, and the memories made along the way.
He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Bosheers of Loretto, Tennessee; a brother, Tommy Skelton of Tullahoma, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by six sisters, Dorothy Holt, Belle Folger, Irene Smith, Goldie McLane, Jean Pollock, and Helen Terleck; and five brothers, David Skelton, Leo Skelton, Charlie Skelton, Robert Skelton, and Howard Skelton.
