Herbert Hoover Gibbs

Herbert Hoover Gibbswas born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on December 22, 1929 the son of the late Finley Edgar (Tony) and Harue Moffett Gibbs.On August 26, 1950 he was united in marriage to Geneva Ernestine Browder, who survives.Mr. Gibbs had worked for Brown Shoe and as a truck driver for Aqua Glass before retiring. He loved to fish and garden.Mr. Gibbs departed this life on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the age of 80 years, 12 months.In addition to his wife, Mr. Gibbs is survived by 2 sons, David Gene Gibbs of Adamsville, Tennessee and Timothy Andrew Gibbs of Crump, Tennessee; a daughter, Deborah Gibbs Shutt of Crump, Tennessee; 7 brothers, Kenny of Savannah, Tennessee, Donnie of Selmer, Tennessee, Joe, Bobby, Ray, Fay, and Billy Gibbs all of Adamsville, Tennessee; a sister, Martha Davey of Adamsville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gibbs Barham; 2 brothers, W.M. and John Elmer Gibbs; 3 sisters, Charlene Powell, Louise Watson, and Margaret Scott.
