Herman Ray "H. R." Blurton

Herman Ray "H.R." Blurton passed away on May 24, 2023, in Lexington, Tennessee at the age of eighty-one. He was born on April 16, 1942, in Madison County, TN to Roland E. Blurton and Velma Leona Trull Blurton both of whom preceded him in death. Herman was united in marriage with Peggy Jane Carroll in August of 1977 and together they shared many wonderful years.

Herman worked as a bricklayer for an extended period along with thirty-five years of service for Conalco in Jackson, TN. He was a member of Ward's Grove Baptist Church located in Lexington. He enjoyed fishing, camping and country music.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Blurton of Lexington, TN; his children: Shelley Blurton (David) of Jackson, TN, Gary Blurton (Stacy) of Milan, TN, Kelley Ross (Doc) of Colorado, Jason Blurton (Amber) of Clarksville, TN, Carol Plumlee (Scott) of Milan, TN: three brothers: Eugene Blurton (Nancy) of Lexington, TN, William "Bill" Blurton (Dixie) of Jackson, TN, Harold Blurton of Atoka, TN; nine grandchildren: Amanda Cagle (Justin), Savannah Rushing (Randy), Hayley Henderson (Kenton), Breeann Snow (Charles), Logan Blurton (Katie), Jenna Moss (Justin), Cohen Blurton, April Conda, Michael Conda; 11 great grandchildren and one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Blurton was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Duncan; sister, Dee Morgan; brother-in-law, Tom Morgan; a sister-in-law, Pat Blurton; and a special grandmother, Mama Trull.
