Herman D Walker

Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in Baucham Cemetery ,Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the services.



Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4th, 5:30--9:00 pm and on Friday, August 5th, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.



Mr. Herman departed this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2011at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 4 Months, 13 Days. He was born March 21, 1941 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the son of the late Guy and Mattie Monroe Walker. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by brother, L G Walker; sisters, Helen Wood Walker and Margaret (Walker) Pope.



He was united in marriage to Quilla June Smith on September 8, 1961.



Mr. Walker was a retired correctional officer with Wayne County Boot Camp, had worked at Dana Corporation and served his country in the United States Army.



He is survived by his wife Quilla June (Smith) Walker of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Lisa Ann (Walker) Overton of Waynesboro, TN, and Susan Elain (Walker) McKinney of Lawrenceburg, TN;

grandchildren; Erica Overton; Stefan Overton; Agenda Davis; Brittany McKinney and Tasha McKinney.
