Herschel Conaway

Herschel Conaway was born August 1, 1929 in Sardis, Tennessee the son of the late Jess J. and Maude Godwin Conaway.Mr. Conaway was retired from Parris Manufacturing Company in Savannah, where he served as a machine shop supervisor for 46 years. He had formerly served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the Hinkle Baptist Church. Mr. Conaway departed this life on May 14, 2011 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 9 Months, 13 Days. He is survived by two sons, Richard Conaway and wife Stacey of Summerville, SC and Don Conaway and wife Bama of Adamsville, TN; two daughters, Diane Thompson and husband Tommy of Savannah, TN and Cindy Conaway and husband Scott of Spring Hill, TN; six grandchildren: Kelly Holt, Dusty McDonald, Macy Thompson, Kaitlyn Thompson, Easton Thompson, and Keaton Conaway; a sister, Betty Sue Hensley of Saltillo, TN; and many extended family and friends.In addition to his parents, Mr. Conaway was preceded in death by a brother, Jess J. Conaway, Jr.
