Hiram S. Pulley

Mr. Hiram Starling (Red) Pulley departed this life on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Waynesboro Health Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 15 Days. He was born May 8, 1924 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Johnny Bell Pulley and Susan A. Sanderson Pulley.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle Christine Culp on December 25, 1949. Mrs. Pulley preceded him in death on March 18, 1999. In addition to his parents and wife Mr. Pulley was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Pulley, Rueban Pulley, Gavin Pulley and Leonard Pulley, sister Iona Denton.

Mr. Red was retired mechanic from Angelia Manufacturing Company and a member of the Mt. Hope Methodist Church. He served his country during the United States Army during World War II and Korean War.

He is survived by son, Charles Pulley, wife Janice, daughter, Sharon Pulley all of Waynesboro, TN., grandchildren, Lori Pulley, Amanda Camfield ,husband Michael, Brittney Bastin , husband Colin, great grandchildren, Gavin Greaves, Legion Lillich, Ridge Pulley, Ethan Warren, Emerson Camfield, Addilyn and Harper Bastin, nieces and nephews

Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Dion Pulley officiating. Burial will follow in Culp's Cemetery , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 26, 2017 5:30-9:00 pm , Saturday, May 27, 2017 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN
