Homer Bradley

Mr. Homer Bradley Jr., departed this life on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 4 Months, 22 Days. He was born November 16, 1925 in Lawrence County, TN the son of the late Homer and Beulah Joe Morgan Bradley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by son; Jerry Dale Bradley; grandson; Kevin Risner; brothers, Raphael Orbria Bradley, Orvel E. Bradley and Bernie Mack Bradley; sisters, Rachel Odessia Byrd and Martha Ailene Fisher.

He was united in marriage to Betty Byrd on December 9, 1946 , Mrs. Bradley preceded him in death on September 6, 2013 .

Mr. Jr. drove a milk truck for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by son, Terry Bradley of Waynesboro, TN; daughter, Kathy Risner; Charles Town, Ind.; grandchildren; Christy Prater of Clifton, TN; and Amy Henry of Charles Town, Ind.; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jettie Eunice Bradley ; sisters, Phoebia Jane Ray, Shirley Mae Holt Shults; Dexter Kathleen Sides ; Nora Faye Searle and Texie Annah (Irene) Ray all of Lawrenceburg, TN;

Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery ,Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9, 6:00--9:00 pm and on Thursday, April 10, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
