He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Bedford Forrest and Jeanette Fowler Malone. He attended schools in Chester County and in 1938 was married to Nell Seeley. They made their home in Chester County most of the time. He was later married to Mozella Newman Ligon in 1962 and she predeceased in 1991.
Mr. Malone worked as a carpenter on major construction sites all over the states, including dams, air force bases, and power plants. He also did local construction work in Chester County.
