Mr. Rainey, age 70, of Middleton, passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon, May 16, 2012.
He was born January 2, 1942 in Brownfield, MS to William Hughes and Edna Marie Russell Rainey. On December 30, 1982, he was married to Etta Fay Pulse, who survives. Mr. Rainey was a 1960 graduate of Middleton High School. He enjoyed walking, fishing, working on automobiles, camping and boating, and going to Pickwick; and he enjoyed his grandchildren. He was employed for 26 years at Carrier where he was a run-test operator. A native of Brownfield, he lived most of his life in Saulsbury. He was Baptist in belief.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rainey is survived by his mother, Marie Rainey; a son Vince Rainey and his wife Suzy; a stepdaughter Janie Harris and husband Mike; a stepson Alex Pulse; a sister Helen Gatewood; and a brother Danny Rainey all of Middleton; 8 grandchildren Landon Rainey, Alex Noel Robinson, Matt Pulse, Christy Glasglow, Zack and Ashley Pulse, Lacy Harris, and Joe Kirkman; and by 3 great grandchildren, Caden Robinson, Summer and Zylah Kirkman. He was preceded in death by his father William Hughes Rainey.
