Hugh Ray Lott

Henderson, TN: Hugh Ray Lott, age 76, died September 24, 2009 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in McNairy County, Adamsville Community, the son of the late Henry Orb and Daisy Bell Plunk Lott. He attended schools in McNairy County. He farmed as a young man. He married Helen Vernell Davis in 1953 of Henderson County. They made their home in Hardin County and Chester County. He worked for the Tennessee State Highway Dept. and then worked for the American Olean Tile in Jackson. He retired in 1996. He loved to hunt, fish and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Baptist.He is survived by his wife, Vernell Davis Lott of Adamsville; two daughters, Teresa Willis of Henderson and Sandra Holt of Saltillo; a step daughter, Glenda Cardwell of Adamsville; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Junior Lott of Crump and three sisters; Faye Groom of Memphis, Wilmanell Hughs of Lofton, TN and Mary Ruth Hamm of Adamsville.
