Hugh Ellis Stanfill

Hugh Ellis Stanfill departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the age of 63 years, 6 months, and 5 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on July 18, 1953, the son of the late Carl and Millinea Scott Stanfill. On April 22, 1972, he was united in marriage to Becky Lee Hollins, who preceded him in death on September 1, 2011.

Hugh had worked as a brick mason with his father before going to work for Clayton homes where he was a supervisor. He enjoyed golfing and Tennessee Volunteer Sports. He was a member of the Pickwick Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his children, Angie Stanfill Smith and her husband, Chris and Shawn Stanfill, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cade Smith and his wife, Emily, Kaila Grace Smith, MacKenzie Stanfill, and Carter Stanfill; and brother, Bill Stanfill of Huntsville, Alabama.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Stanfill and Roy Stanfill.
