Services will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Gary Hodum and Gene Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee

with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.



Visitation will be on Saturday, July 7th, 5:00-9:00 pm and on Sunday, July 8th.

9:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, TN.

Mr. Skelton departed this life onThursday, July 5, 2012 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 4 Months, 14 Days.

He was born February 21, 1931 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late Arthur Clark and Nettie Carroll Skelton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Skelton was preceded in death by his first wife; Bonnie Marie Overton Skelton; on January 10, 1988; sister; Peggy Garrison; brothers; Franklin; Eddie; Mac Arthur; Willie and Hershel Skelton; step son; Barry Rich.



He was self employed carpenter but he was best known for his homemade sausage. He served his country in the United States Marines.



He is survived by; his wife Joyce M. Horton Skelton of Waynesboro, TN; son; Ricky Skelton and wife Ann of Waynesboro, TN, daughter, Marilyn Welch and husband Donnie of Adamsville, TN, step sons; James Rich and Troy Rich step daughters; Jamie Reeves and husband Johnny, Joan Thompson and husband Arlie; Joy Sloan and husband Bill;
