Ida Alexander

IDA ALEXANDER

was born in Savannah, Tennessee on June 7, 1930 the daughter of the late Wylie Richard and Ida Mae Godwin Hurst.

Ida spent most of her years in Texas and in her later years she lived in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was a homemaker and worked a few years in retail. Ida loved gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She departed this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Chesapeake, Virginia at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Ida is survived by her children, Renee Cailteux and her husband Larry of Chesapeake, Virginia; Loyd Alexander and his wife Debbie of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Carol Smith and her husband Bill of Kerrbille, Texas; grandchildren, Justin, Shane, Kyle, Kristina, Jason, Brian, and Wesley; and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, JD Hurst, and two sisters, Bonnie Heckle and Katherine Reed.
