Crump, TN: Idell Roland Rowland, age 91 passed away January 12, 2011 at her home.
She was born in the Masseyville Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late James Caleb and Viola Jane Thomas Roland. She attended Phillips School House in Chester County and in 1940 was married to Buford Martin Rowland of the Woodville Community. They made their home in Chester County until 1953 when they moved to Crump where Mr. Rowland worked for the State Highway Dept. until he retired in 1981. Mr. Rowland died in 1992. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crump.
She is survived by a son, Sammy Rowland and wife Pat of Christiana, TN and two daughters, Nancy Hardy of Crump, TN and Geraldine Russell and husband Ken of Eads, TN; two granddaughters, Rhonda Davis (Lance) and Cristy Martin (Zack) and four grandsons, Jeff Hardy (Kim), John Russell (Judy) Ricky Hardy (Sammie Jo) and Marty Rowland (Erin) and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Martin (Brother) Rowland; three sisters, Gladys Holmes, Gladis Smith and Sue Nell Holmes and a brother, Gene Roland.
