IMOGENE HALTON
Henderson, TN: Ruby Imogene Dyer Haltom, age 95, passed away October 30, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born December 16, 1929, in the Glendale Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lena Bain Dyer. She attended Chester County Schools.
She married Leo Haltom on May 29, 1947. Mr. Haltom was a career Military man, and they traveled and made their home in various places, but especially in Fort Walton Beach and Ardmore, OK.
When he retired, they returned to Chester County in 1969, living in Henderson. Mr. Haltom preceded her in death on November 27, 1986.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who spent her years taking care of her family.
She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and crosswords, enjoyed flowers. She loved children and spending time with her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys.
She was blessed to be physically active and healthy up until her recent fall.
She was a pet lover and had many cats and dogs and leaves behind her beloved dog Leroy.
Mrs. Haltom is survived by two sons, Michael Haltom (Sandy) of Henderson and Randy Haltom of Henderson and two daughters, Barbara Haltom and Patricia Haltom both of Henderson; four grandchildren, Amanda Griffin (Matt), Dustin Haltom (Laura), Crystal Matthews (Matt) and Danielle Mays (Ryan); six great grandchildren, Chase Dyer, Mia Dyer, Grant Matthews (Mary Emilee), Makenzie Pitts (Tyler), Maleigha Mays, and Rylee Mays; a great-great grandchild, Harper Pitts; a brother, Wayne Dyer of Knoxville and two sisters, Lavelle Bellamy (Raymond) of Knoxville and Mary Lee Guyon of Enville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Willis Dyer and a great grandchild, Jaxon Cooper Mays.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday November 3rd at Hearn's Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Ben Flatt officiating.
The family will receive friends at Hearn's Chapel Cemetery beginning Monday at 1:30 PM.
