INEZ MULLIS DUNCAN
Pinson, TN: Mary Inez Mullis Duncan, age 88, passed away December 14, 2009 at Northbrooke Healthcare Center.
She was born and reared in the Mifflin Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Julius Edmond and Bessie Inez Burruss Mullis Rouse. She graduated Chester County High School in 1938 and attended Draughon’s Business College in Memphis. She was employed by Southern Bell in Memphis in 1940 where she worked as operator and supervisor and then as Office Manager in Miami, FL where she retired in 1980.
She was married to Jim Duncan in 1951. They made their home in Miami, FL until his death in December 1996. Mr. Duncan was employed by Pan-American Airlines. After Mr. Duncan death she moved to the Pinson Community. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Pinson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, J. E. Mullis of Jackson and Donald Rouse of Henderson and nieces and nephews, Diane Duncan Bunker (John) of Jacksonville, FL, John Michael Duncan (Patsy) of Houston, TX, Mike Mullis (Sherri) of Cordova, TN, Thomas Rouse, Jr. (Gay Lynne) of Hendersonville, TN, Jeff Rouse (Cathy) of Humboldt, TN, Vickie Rouse Scarbrough (Mike) of Pinson, TN, Lynne Rouse of Henderson, TN and Donna Rouse Barnes (Anthony) of Henderson, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Duncan in 1996 and two brothers, Guy Mullis in 1994 and Thomas Rouse in 2008.
