INEZ JOHNSON
Jacks Creek, TN: Mae Inez Bailey Johnson, age 94 passed away February 15, 2017 at her home.
She was born September 21, 1922 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Bob and Lula Veteo Bailey. She attended schools in Henderson County and was married to Alton Johnson, June 29, 1946. They made their home on Saddle Club Road at the same place for seventy-one years. Mrs. Johnson worked as a seamstress at Salant & Salant, MKD and I Appel retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church at Jacks Creek.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by three daughters, Janice Holland and husband Leon, Shelia Cherry and husband Benny and Sherry Johnson and husband James and a son Jerry Johnson all of Jacks Creek; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren and a sister, Inell Ross of Reagan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton Johnson January 30, 2011, one granddaughter, Miranda Johnson and one great granddaughter, Mahaley Evans; a sister, Izeal Johnson and a brother, Ivy Bailey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Community of Christ Church at Jacks Creek with Bro. Dwight Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 Noon Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Community of Christ Church.
