Iris L. Prince

Iris Prince departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the age of 84 years, 9 months, 16 days. She was born in Flat Gap, Tennessee, on October 12, 1930, the daughter of the late Ira Lee and Elma Duckworth White. On February 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dee Prince, who survives.

Iris worked for Southwest Human Resources in administration, she was also a homemaker. She was an active member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1952, during her years at Olivet she served a part in many activities there. She was especially talented with painting, decorating, and working with her flowers. Her home, church, and family gave her great enjoyment.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dee Prince of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Judy Prince Burns of Franklin, Tennessee, Deana Prince Donoho of Nashville, Tennessee, and Becky Prince Berry of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Barrett Petty and wife, Val of Franklin, Tennessee, Clint Berry and wife, Malory of Savannah, Tennessee, and Callan Donoho of Nashville, Tennessee; great-grandchild, Mary Townes Petty of Franklin, Tennessee; sisters, Robbie White Knupp of Savannah, Tennessee and Jean White Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama; and a special sister-in-law, Cal Townes of Franklin, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Monte White and Wilson White; sisters, Nettie Bryant and Margie Thompson.
