Ivy Cone

Ivy Cone was born April 19, 1916 in Finger, Tennessee the daughter of the late William Louis and Susie Maybelle Starks Plunk.She was united in marriage to Floyd Cratus Cone on December 21, 1940. Mr. Cone preceded her in death on January 2, 1973 after 32 years of marriage.Mrs. Cone was a dedicated Christian, a loving mother, and a caring homemaker for her family. She was one of the founding members of Lanes Chapel Church near Finger, and was the oldest living member. Mrs. Cone loved her flowers and working in her garden, and she especially enjoyed cooking for her family. Mrs. Cone departed this life on August 5, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 3 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by three sons: Keith Cone and wife Betty Sue of Finger, TN, Bill Cone and wife Linda of Finger, TN, Freddie Cone and wife Mary of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren: Regina (Cone) Chandler, Brian Keith Cone, Fallon Nichole Cone, Susie Cromley; three great-grandchildren: Jimmy Lee Miller, Briley Suzanne Miller, Wynter Haven Miller; and many extended family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cone was preceded in death by three sisters: Ailene Plunk, Vivian Gray and Alva Vires; two brothers, Arthur Plunk and Frank Plunk.
