J. C. PETTY
Was born in Grand Rivers, Kentucky on May 27, 1927 the son of the late James A. and Ruby Scott Petty.
On March 27, 1951 he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Aldridge, who survives.
Mr. Petty was a lock operator for the Army Corp. of Engineers. He was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Petty was a member of Pickwick Methodist Church, member of Woodmen of the World, Lions Club and a member of the Counce Volunteer Fire Department for 12 to 14 years.
He departed this life on February 10, 2007 in Hickory Valley, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 14 days.
Other than his wife, Dorothy of Hickory Valley, Tennessee he is survived by one daughter, Andreda Blakney of Counce, Tennessee.
2 sons, James R. Petty of Hickory Valley, Tennessee and Gary Petty of Humboldt, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren, Jeff, Biranda, Shanna, Alysia, Kecia and Megan.

Mr. Petty was also preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Lovette and one sister, Dorothy Fules.
