J. D. Collier

J.D. Collierwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 24, 1929 the son of the late Lee Washington and Anna Doralice Fraiser Collier.On February 22, 1953 he was united in marriage to Lorine Morgan, who preceded him in death on June 4, 2009.Mr. Collier was a logger and a farmer before retiring. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.Mr. Collier departed this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the age of 80 years, 3 months, 13 days.Mr. Collier is survived by 2 sons, Don and Anthony Collier both of Selmer, Tennessee; a daughter, Barbara Alexander of Stantonville, Tennessee; a brother, Cletus (Buddy) Collier of Michie, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Collier was preceded in death by a brother, Garvin Collier; 4 sisters, Carnella Jones, Chloe Lee, Sally Childers, and Anna Belle White; 2 great-grandchildren, Karen JoLee Goff and Demitri Goff.
