J. D. Stricklin

J.D. Stricklin was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 25, 1919 the son of the late Noah and Mary Alice Stricklin.On June 2, 1946 he was united in marriage to Louise Tilley, who survives.Mr. Stricklin was self-employed as a farmer. He also was a logger, mechanic and a school bus driver. Mr. Stricklin served in the Army from April 1942 thru November 1945. He was a member of Abrams Chapel Church and the DAV.Mr. Stricklin departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the age of 91 years, 1 month, 6 days.In addition to his wife, Louise, he is survived by a son, Roger Stricklin and wife Amanda of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Blake Myrick, Brandi Watkins, and Ben Fair; 2 great grandchildren, Garrett Watkins and Breanna Watkins; a sister, Dorothy Prochnow of Savannah, Tennessee.
