Mr. Yopp passed away Monday night, October 10, 2011, at his home in Hickory Valley.
Born December 1, 1931 in Hardeman County, he was the son of Edgar and Mary Elizabeth Martindale Yopp. He lived in Memphis for 31 years and most his life in Hardeman County. He married Hazel Cossar on August 4, 1953, was a deacon of West Memorial Baptist Church and served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Hazel Yopp, a daughter, Sherry Casebolt, of Henderson, Nevada; a son Dr. Michael S. Yopp, of Rainbow City, Alabama; a brother Troy Yopp, of Blytheville, Arkansas; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
