J. W. Ferguson

J. W. Ferguson was born March 17, 1935 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Connie Dewey and Eler Elizabeth Moore Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson was united in marriage to Rejetta Whitaker on October 10, 1959. Jay was a heavy equipment business owner/operator for Ferguson Brother Construction. He was Methodist in faith. He loved gardening, Nascar, and spending time with friends and family.

Mr. Ferguson departed this life, after a lenghty and hard fought battle with congestive heart failure, on September 19, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rejetta Ferguson of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Connie Robinson and husband Dan; two sons, Mike Ferguson and wife Melanie and Ryan Ferguson and his wife Chrissy; six grandchildren: Jayli Ferguson, Wesley Ferguson, Jace Ferguson, Megan Ables, Kevin Ables and Kelsey Robinson; a sister, Louise Blakely of Selmer, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Lambert; three brothers: Cecil Jabo Ferguson, Buck Ancil Ferguson and R. C. Ferguson.
