Services for J C Franks, age 81, of Westpoint, will be Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Kerry Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.Pallbearers are J.C. Daniel, David Daniel, Joshua Meadors, Maxey Lopp, Andrew Meadors, and Daryle MeadorsA native of Wayne County, he was born June 26, 1928 to the late Mack and Mattie Tilley Franks. Mr. Franks departed this life Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia at the age of 81 Years, 4 Months, 29 Days. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Skaggs Franks, daughters-law Dianne Franks and Peggy Renae Franks; three brothers, Ray, Lester, and Robert Franks; two sisters, Emma Daniel and Myrtle Mitchell. Mr. Franks worked as a maintainance worker at Stephen's Mill and was of the Baptist faith.He is survived by three sons, Gordon Franks and Roy Franks both of Lebanon, TN, Donald Franks of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Rachel Brewer and husband Lawrence of Leoma, TN and Diane Lopp and husband Billy Doyle of Westpoint, TN; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren
