J. W. Knipper

Henderson, TN: John William Knipper, age 84 passed away September 18, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in Chester County near Silerton, the son of the late William Alvin and Mary Jimmie Newman Knipper. He attended Chester County Schools and in 1948 married Mary Diffee and they made their home in the Deanburg community. He worked for the Railroad, then owned and operated Knipper’s Grocery and also as a painter at the hospital. Mrs. Knipper died in 2005. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Knipper and wife Sara and Jerry Knipper and wife Nan all of Henderson; two daughters, Vera Quesy of Linden and Cathy McKinnie and husband David of Henderson; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis Knipper and Archie Knipper both of Henderson and two sisters, Imogene Hearn and Brenda Peterson both of Henderson.
