Mr. J W Smith of Waynesboro, TN departed this life on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his daughter's home in Lawrenceburg, TN at the age of 79 Years, 1 Month, 30 Days. He was born July 11, 1936 in Lawrence County, TN, a son of the late William Cleveland and Martha Snow Kimbrell Smith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, James Lawrence Smith and sisters, Louise Stephenson and Grace Powell.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Stanislaus Wall on July 1, 1995 .

Mr. Smith was a retired factory worker from Murray Ohio Manufacturing and was a member of Green River Tabernacle Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Smith of Waynesboro, TN; son, Jeffrey Wayne Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Debra Lynn Brewer and husband, Johnnie of Lawrenceburg, TN, Barbara Diane Jackson and husband, Steve and Melba Darlene Carroll all of Waynesboro, TN, Dana Vanessa Davis and husband, Kevin of Hampshire, TN; step-son, John Wall, Jr. of Akron, OH; step-daughters, Debbie Hiett of Zaynesville, OH, Sharon Bowen and husband, Darwin of Lutts, TN; 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Junior Smith of Michigian; sisters, Jean Fowler and husband, Tommy of St. Joseph, TN and Helen Pennington of Lawrenceburg, TN and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 1:30 PM Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 11:30 am to service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN.
