Jack Harold Barnes

Jack Harold Barnes, Sr was born August 12, 1955 in Memphis, TN the son of the late John Clarence and Velma Vernell Crawford Barnes. He was united in marriage to Teresa Kay Barton on December 21, 1973. Jack moved to Chester County in 1979 and bought his first semi truck and trailer in 1980. He started Barnes Transports in 2002 and worked until January of 2018. He was a member of the Selmer Masonic Lodge 338.

Mr. Barnes departed this life on September 2, 2019 in Hornsby, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 21 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Barnes of Hornsby, TN; two sons, Jack Harold Barnes Jr. and wife Laura Kristie of Bethel Springs, TN, Shane Monroe Barnes and wife Melanie June of Hornsby, TN; a grandchild, Katelyn Louise Barnes; a sister, Verlinda Lineberry of Hornsby, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by a brother, John Clarence Barnes Jr.; grandparents, Clarence Monroe and Arkie Barnes, Big Daddy and Big Momma Crawford.
