Jack Richard Brady, 81, of Middleton, died September 15, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Jeanette Brady, whom he married on January 22, 1952, he was a retired letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, having worked for 28 years. He also was a cattle rancher and grew hydroponic tomatoes. He was born April 23, 1928, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Thomas and Hilda Pearl Pearson Brady and lived the past 55 years in Hardeman County. Mr. Brady was a veteran of the US Navy serving 7 years, 1 month and 10 days during the Korean Conflict. He was a very active member of Middleton First United Methodist Church, working as a Certified Lay Speaker and Lay Leader, a Sunday School teacher and serving on various committees. He also participated in numerous Emmaus Walks. Mr. Brady was a former Civitan and was active in the Lions Club, the Gideons, and was a Mason at the Adams Lodge #174.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons and their wives, Gary Brady and Mona of Middleton, Ken Brady and Lee Anne of Bartlett, and Tom Brady of Middleton; eight grandchildren, Desmond, Matt, Sara, Ben, Richard, Lauren, Carol, and Clayton Brady; and eight great grandchildren, Anna Alyce, Jonah, Jude, Jenna, Avery, Keira, Isaac, and Parker Brady.
