Jack Jr. Higgins was born in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on October 13, 1945, the son of the late Manuel "Jack" and Jennie Estella Graham Higgins.
He was employed with the City of Savannah Sanitation Department and also worked for DeBerry Roofing Company. He was a member of the Love Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Savannah, Tennessee.
Mr. Higgins departed this life on July 27, 2013, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital, at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 14 days.
He is survived by a daughter, Ramona Higgins of Dyersburg, Tennessee and a godson, Jordan Weatherspoon; one grandchild, Shanique Higgins and one great-grandchild, Mariah Pierce; six sisters, Bertha Allen of Tampa, Florida, Jennie Selim of Detroit, Michigan, Pearlie Mae Berry of Flint, Michigan, Denise Sharp of Flint, Michigan, Betty Lou Williams of Columbia, Missouri, and Lorene Higgins; ten brothers, John Lee Higgins of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Grady Lee Higgins of Jackson, Michigan, Larry Darnell Higgins of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Oliver Jr. Higgins of Savannah, Tennessee, Dexter Higgins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Manuel Jr. Higgins of Elkhart, Indiana, Jerry Lee Higgins of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerry Louis Higgins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and William Higgins; and favorite niece, Cora Lee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by goddaughter, Kiawasha "Kiki" Weatherspoon and four brothers, Joe Louis Graham, Charles Lee Higgins, Robert Louis Higgins and Freddie Lee Higgins.
