JACK HOOVER SIMMONS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 27, 1928, the son of the late Oscar and Ollie Bryant Simmons.
On September 16, 1959 he was united in marriage to Mackie Nell Bain, who survives.
Mr. Simmons was a self employed contractor. He was a member of Olive Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Simmons enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer and fox. He enjoyed watching football, baseball and car racing (NASCAR).
Mr. Simmons departed this life on January 21, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 25 days.
In addition to his wife Mackie of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Jacklyn Bradley and her husband Jerry of Ravenden, Arkansas, Jimmie Milgrim of Olive Hill, Tennessee, Brenda Nguyen and her husband Vinh of Jackson, Tennessee, Eddie Joe Simmons and his wife Christie of Savannah, Tennessee and Lonnie Simmons and his wife Rita of Jackson, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hughie Simmons, W.K. Simmons, James Simmons and Joe Simmons and two sisters, Myrtle Dowdy and Evelyn Bowling.
