JACKIE RAY SHEETS
was born in Steele, Missouri on October 9, 1940 the son of the late Chester and Mildred Sullins Sheets.
On September 11, 1960 he was united in marriage to Geneva Dickey, who survives.
Mr. Sheets was a self employed plumber and electrician. He was also employed with Plastic Masters Inc. in New Buffalo, Michigan and also had worked for Chrysler Corporation in Michigan City, Indiana. Mr. Sheets was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Crump, Tennessee. He loved playing and singing gospel music and helped in any benefit to help raise money for those in need.
Mr. Sheets departed this life on August 1, 2010 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 23 days.
In addition to his wife, Geneva of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Kathy West and her husband Mark of Adamsville, Tennessee and Reagena Rootes and her husband Dennis of Adamsville, Tennessee.
5 sons, Larry Sheets and his wife Karen, Jack Sheets, Jr. and his wife, Tammy , Steve Sheets and his wife Michelle, all of Michigan City, Indiana, Roger Sheets and his wife Ruthie of Savannah, Tennessee and Sam Sheets and his wife, Carolyn of Adamsville, Tennessee
22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
3 brothers, Bill Sheets of Dallas, Texas, Chester Sheets, Jr. of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Larry Sheets of Michigan City, Indiana
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Alma Wondergem and 2 brothers, Joe and Jim Sheets.
