Jackie "Boon" Short

Jackie "Boon" Short was born May 16, 1957, the son of the late Walker and Carrie Lee Malone Short. He left this earth on January 29, 2017 at the age of 59 year, 8, months, and 13 days.

Before working at the Gambrell Saw Mill, Jackie worked for the Roser Handle Mill and the Qualls Handle Mill. He loved working on old cars and spending time with his family.

Jackie is survived by his daughters, Rhea Morris and Tiffanie Short, both of Savannah, Tennessee; son, James stanfill of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Bobby Short, Roger Short, and Jessie Short; sisters, Jo Malone and Fay Alexander; grandchildren, Blake Morris, Devin Morris, Luke Morris, Jaydin Morris, Lance Dubose, Brady Dubose, J.J. Dubose, Isabella Stanfill, Payton Stanfill, Sean Stanfill, and Ashton Stanfill.

Along with his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Short and William Mack Short, and his sisters, Sandra Kay Short and Carrie Jean Short.
