James Antwine

July 23, 1935 — March 13, 2017

Mr. James Antwine, age 81 of Middleton, passed away Monday evening, March 13, 2017, at his home in Middleton.

Mr. Antwine was born July 23, 1935 in Rogers Springs, TN, the son of the late William Henry and Ola Lou Yopp Antwine and lived most all of his life in Hardeman County. He was married December 12, 1959 to the former Lou Reid, who survives.

Mr. Antwine had worked as a cabinet maker for Reid and Crowley and was retired from Softee Products Company. He was a long time member of the New Hope Church of Christ. In his leisure time, he enjoyed all types of sports, playing rook and dominos and especially spending time with his two grandsons.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his son, Randy Antwine (Angie) of Middleton; and two grandsons, Justin and Chase Antwine.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, James Carman Antwine; his parents; three sisters, Gladys Glover, Thelma Clifton and Vera Hodum; and a brother, Harley Antwine.
