James Allen Battles

James Allen Battles was born on March 26, 1943, the son of the late Barney and Naomi Goodman Battles. He married Dorothy Bowling Battles, who preceded him in death on December 10, 1983. James departed this life on June 15, 2017, at the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 20 days.
James was of the Baptist belief. He was a member of VFW in Savannah, Tennesee. Before living in McNairy County, Tennessee for 7 years, he lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for 13 years and Chester County, Tennessee for 4 years. James enjoyed fishing, raising chickens, and gardening.
James is survived by his sons, Richard A. Battles of Savannah, Tennessee and Gregory Battles of Adamsville, Tennessee; a daughter, Lisa Battles of Spring Hill, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Brandon Battles and Trey Gillham.
In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Leland Battles and Earl Battles.
