James Franklin Beard

James Franklin (Jim) Beard of Clifton, TN was born September 17, 1936 in Clifton, TN, the son of the late Joe Walter Beard, Sr. and Emma Green Beard.

Mr. Beard was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and was a member of the Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was a United States Army veteran.

Mr. Beard departed this life on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Harbert Hills Nursing Home, Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 16 Days.

He is survived by a sister, Bernice Deloney of Calumet City, IL and In addition to his parents, Mr. Beard was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Walter Beard, Jr.

Services will be Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Rev. John Johnston and Elder Kenwyn Sealy officiating. Burial will follow in the Cerro Gordo Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church. Pallbearers will be men from the church.
