Mr. James Rhea Bishop, age 72 of Whiteville, departed this life Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2013 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee.
A lifelong resident of Hardeman County, he was born May 4, 1941 to the late Roy and Emma Fletcher Bishop. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Elrod Bishop, and second wife, Kathrine Hamm Bishop. He worked as a mechanic for Fayette Equipment in Somerville.
Mr. Bishop is survived by three daughters, Nancy Gale Wilson of Whiteville, Crystal Joyce Hanks of Michie and Amanda Bishop of Selmer; a son, Nathan Ray Bishop of Dyersburg; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Gail Keymon of Selmer; two sisters, Jean Rutledge of Birmingham, Alabama and Wilma Bishop of New Orleans, Louisiana; two brothers, Herbert Bishop of Iuka, Mississippi and Harry D. Bishop of Bloomington, Illinois; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, first wife and second wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Raines, Joyce Morris and Muriel Bishop; and one brother, Grayden Bishop.
