JAMES BLACK
was born in Bronx, New York on April 12, 1933 the son of the late Colin and Winifred Carson Black.
On December 23, 1952 he was united in marriage to Ann Frances Lynch, who survives.
James was a retired Detective for the New York City Police Department. He was a member of Emerald Society Pipe Band and Nashville Pipes and Drums.
James departed this life on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 30 days.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, Ann Black, he is survived by his children, Bonnie Black, Linda Hartmann, Kirsty Black, Colin Black, Chuck Black and Siobhan Black; grandchildren, Jennifer, Patricia, Sean, Andrew, Carson, Liam, Shane, Peter, Samantha, Mary Kate, Colin, James, Dalton, Kimberly and Meaghan; and great grandchildren, Aidan, Casen, Olivia, Audrey, Jack, Murrough, Arwin, Chloe, Tyson, Teddy, Finn, and Raelyn.
James was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Colleen Black, one son, James Black, one sister, Winifred Black Williams and three brothers, John Carson Black, Colin Black and Wallace Black.
